Ari Weinkle

Ari Weinkle is a Boston-based artist and designer who breaks forms apart and puts them back together differently, working with the human figure, geometry and typography to find unexpected relationships between shape, colour, texture and form. He describes the work as experimental, mostly digital and often weird, with influences sitting between traditional Japanese aesthetics, surrealism, abstract painting and philosophy, which places it on a border between poetry and technology. He graduated with honours in graphic design from RISD and worked in Boston agencies before going independent in 2020. His work has shown at Pocko Gallery in London and at Typomania in Moscow, and the Type Directors Club has given it a Best in Show award.
