Chroma Current by Jason Ting is a generative code-based work composed of gentle streams of light that shift and flow through a continuous spectrum of color. The movement is measured and fluid, producing the sense of a living surface in constant transition. Each palette transforms the character of the motion it drives. Cool tones move with the calm rhythm of water. Pastels create a soft aurora across the surface. Warmer hues flicker and reach with the motion of flame. Ting’s algorithm explores the space between these states, tracing how color behaves as current and defines our perception of form.

A hue adjustment sends a river of light cascading into a chosen color, transforming the scene with a simple touch.
