About the artist
Lake Heckaman is a Brooklyn-based new media artist and creative technologist whose work transforms interactive systems into poetic reflections of the natural world. Using real-time graphics, procedural simulations, and technologies like Kinect and multi-touch, Heckaman creates immersive installations where viewers become active participants in dynamic, living environments.
His practice examines how perception, technology, and ecology intersect—blurring the distinction between observation and interaction.
