About
Malformed by Lake Heckaman is a generative code-based exploration of the limits of domain dependence—the failure to generalize relevant information from one context to another. By constraining and warping the classic computer graphics domain of the UV plane, Heckaman creates a visual system that examines how shifts in framing can radically alter outcomes. This warped domain is directly visualized, underscoring how even small changes in approach can produce dramatically different results.
What emerges is a vast parametric world—an ever-shifting field of forms and behaviors with near-infinite variation. Malformed functions both as a critique of inherited visual systems and as a meditation on perception, control, and the subtle mechanics of transformation.

Living Art
Living Art is our collection of generative works, created through code—systems built by artists to unfold autonomously over time. Each piece is governed by a unique set of rules and parameters, often incorporating randomness, variation, or interaction. It’s art that is constantly evolving and infinite.
